Moderating egregious content is distinct to other moderation tasks, and here the emphasis on moderator protection should be at its highest. This hands-on workshop will describe the relationship between biometric data, mental health and performance, and show how data and technology can be used to identify the needs of your moderators in real-time. Using our cross-platform best practice, we’ll show you which tools are the most effective for setting up an appropriate workforce management strategy and ensuring safe spaces are available to moderators throughout their employment.

The detection and handling of CSAM is a major concern for the T&S industry. As new ways of production emerge, we too must adapt in our fight against its spreading. What are the responses to AI production? What is the responsibility of the various societal players (platforms, governments, etc.)? During this panel discussion, we'll look at the different strategies in place, and consider tomorrow's solutions for protecting children online.

Together with Tremau, and with the support of the Trust & Safety Network (TSN) and Cognizant, the Trust & Safety Hackathon is hosting a one-day, hybrid (in-person in Amsterdam and remote) Hackathon as a part of the Trust & Safety Festival in Amsterdam.
The Trust & Safety Hackathon aims to bring together professionals from varied backgrounds, policymakers, regulators, press, students, and other key audiences to create solutions to the biggest problems we're facing online today.
Capitalising on the four previous hackathons (SF, Paris, Australia, and Ghana), this event will aim to further develop two of the most promising concepts proposed at previous events: One addresses policy/best practices and the other explores signal sharing.
The hackathon is open to everyone but registration is required.While there is no monetary prize, the output from this hackathon (strategies, prototypes, etc) will be posted on the tshackathon.org website.

For the best ending of the inaugural edition of the Trust & Safety Festival, the Trust & Safety team from WeTransfer led by Jeff Sen will host our community at their own offices, with a mix of insight sharing and drinks.
